If your horse is determined to have a low palate and seems anxious when he has a bit in his mouth you may revert to using a bit less bridle.

Otherwise as a hackamore or a bozal in the western world.

All of the above mentioned bridles will put action on the horse’s poll by using pressure on the nose without causing any discomfort to the inside of the horses mouth. Horses that have a low palate (roof of mouth)may be more comfortable in this type of bridling arrangement.
