You can pinch the horses’ skin to see if it is dehydrated .
The skin should return to normal after one second.
If your horse is getting dehydrated this product should help.
Avoid dehydration as this could lead to more serious problems in the horse such as colic. Make sure that you keep your water buckets and troughs extra clean in the hot weather and provide a salt block in the stall or Run-in Sheds.

Most horses will accept this in their feed .

HEAT WAVES-Put your horses out if it’s above 95° and your barn is hot. Your horses will be better off outside in a slight breeze where they can find some shade.
Also if you do want to hose your horses off to cool them down you must do it several times and scraping the hot water off in between each cold hosing. If you leave water on that’s not evaporating it can actually heat up the horse making things worse rather than better.
So several cold hosings not just once but several times and sweat scraping all of the water off in between each hosing.
Check the middle of the front of the horses’ chest .
Leave your hand there for several seconds to feel if your horse is still hot.
Continue if needed .
