What is colic?

Colic is a layman’s term for any stomach ache in a horse.

There are many causes of colic but the most significant cause is dehydration.

Horses are large animals and need a lot of clean and fresh water available to them at all times.

Also remember not to cause the horse to overheat with blankets in the warmer weather as this could cause the horse to quickly dehydrate.
